Highlights from the Immediate Implants, Bone Grafting & PRF 3 Day Workshop in NZ



What an exciting and jammed packed 3 day course we had in beautiful New Zealand. Presented by Dr Steve Soukoulis this was an extremely in depth workshop covering Immediate Implants, Bone Grafting and PRF.


DAY 1 - Immediate Dental Implant Protocols



The Immediate Dental Implant Protocols course was designed for dental professionals eager to advance their expertise in implantology. This comprehensive program provided attendees with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience, focusing on the latest techniques, implant systems and bone grafting associated with immediate dental implant protocols.


Participants had the opportunity to learn from an industry-leading expert Dr Steve Soukoulis who guided them through every aspect of the procedure. The course emphasised diagnosis, traumatic extraction techniques, immediate implant placement protocols and site specific implants systems, allowing attendees to practice on state of the art life like models developed her in Australia.


Attendees gained a deeper understanding of how to iexecute immediate implant protocols with precision and predictability, and enhanced patient satisfaction.


 

DAY 2 - Bone Grafting Masterclass 



The Bone Grafting Masterclass was an opportunity for dental professionals to enhance their skills in one of the most critical areas of implant dentistry ensuring ideal foundation for implant treatment. This intensive masterclass focused on the latest techniques for bone grafting at time of extraction and in long standing edentulous sites.


Dr Steve Soukoulis shared his extensive knowledge and expertise on the fundamentals of bone biology and grafting materials, flap design, bone graft selection and membrane selection and their manipulation to ensure improved quality, volume and predictability. Participants learned how to assess and manage different clinical situations, ensuring they could apply these techniques confidently in their practice.


A significant aspect of the masterclass was the hands-on session, where participants could practice the skills presented by Dr Soukoulis on animal heads. This experience allowed attendees to refine their skills under close supervision.


 

Day 3 - Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Grafting



The Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Grafting Course provided participants with evidence based information regarding the biological principles, venipuncture techniques and the practical preparation and clinical applications of PRF products utilised in the exciting and fast growing topic of regenerative dentistry promoting healing and tissue regeneration.


Clinical instructions were given on how it can be safely and effectively used in various dental procedures, including implantology and periodontal therapy.


Participants had the chance to practice venipuncture and apply PRF in simulated clinical settings. This practical component allowed participants to gain confidence in the venipuncture technique and handling of the sold and liquid forms of PRF.


 

Summary


The Immediate Implants, Bone Grafting & PRF Workshop held in New Zealand over the last 3 days, led by Dr. Steve Soukoulis, was intensive and comprehensive, covering Immediate Implants, Bone Grafting, and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Grafting.
